Projector needs a new bulb - would you just buy a new projec

Have an Epson TW3500 projector which is 11 years old. Bulb need a replacing at a cost of $270 (I'm in Australia)

I can get a new Epson TW for $899 and the replacement bulbs are $100.

Is it worth just buying a new Projector which will be brighter, better and given the current one is 11 years old?

I've just bought a new bulb for my projector a Chinese clone, no idea if it will be any good but it was nowhere near $270

Is there a cheap alibaba/e-bay option for your model?

Personally I would after that length of time. Technology is bound to have improved.

Try lamps direct £62 ,I nearly done the same changed my bulb and was happy
