Lockdown AV Uprating
Discussion
I can't be the only one..
Boredom set in and the current AV equipment started to look like it needed replacing. This is despite the fact I had no intentions of doing anything with it this year or any year actually!
First up I convinced myself that the only 3-4 year old Bose Sound Base was lacking a bit in voice clarity.... so it got replaced with a Dali Katch One.
An unexpected side effect of this was that the sound was so good, I sold on the Sonos Play 5 I used for music. Bluetooth through the Dali (connected to my current Sub) being more than adequate. Downside being I now had £300 to put back in the pot...
That meant I then figured the old Bookshelf Speakers I use as Left and Right Speakers for Home Cinema were in the way sitting on the floor and far too big to wall mount. This is despite the fact they've been there 10 years already. So a pair of SVS Elevation Speakers were ordered to get them high up on the wall.
Now the Centre Speaker is looking decidedly old and lacking.... and that Sub is about the same age....
Getting expensive

I'm currently debating whether to switch round the orientation of my room. It's about 7. 5m x 4.5m and projecting onto a white wall.
Buy I'm looking at buying a tab tensioned screen, hanging it on the left in front of the window, and putting the couch on front of the door on the right. That would give me a longer room for watching films, rather than the shorter layout.
Not sure if I'll see any real improvement, but the wife approves as the screen would be hidden
