Outdoor volume control
Discussion
Yes, speaker level will work fine.
Are you putting it indoors or will it be outdoors?
Most dedicated outdoor volume controls are hard to come by as most are from USA.
You could put an indoor one in an IP65 2 gang enclosure though.

No you need one suitable for low impedance speakers/ amp. Make sure it is able to take the wattage of the amp, they can get hot if you drive them hard. You'll need a dual/stereo unit if you want to use both channels. They are known as L-Pad attenuators.
