Tv confusion - u4khd, oled, qled, obed, confus'ed'

hi all,
I'm after a new TV, budget around a grand.
Currently we have a 42" panasonic tx-p42g plasma which was a similar price about 6 years ago.
We sit around 3.5 to 4m away so it feels a little small screen wise now and in TV terms it's a little out of date.
Trouble is I'm confused about all the different screen types and what's good versus what isn't.
What's the difference between ultra 4k HD, qled and oled? Any particular makes i should go for? Screen wise I think we ideally want 55", we have sonos sub, sound bar and 2 play 1's set up a a stereo pair for the surround so sound quality isn't as important as picture quality.
I'm also concerned about screen burn etc, is this covered under warranty? Many sky channels now have static logos hence the concern.

OLED does black that are incredible. I found Samsung panels could not touch the LG OLED (others do OLED now, Panny, Sony etc). Others will disagree on OLED vs others. Free world and all that.
Go look at them for the final say. Bear in mind all shop set will have a the shop setting on (probably). But I found enough going on the top of the shop Samsung vs LG to see what I thought was the best.
4k resolution is 3840?×?2160 and HD is 1920x1080 (forgets i and p for now). A 4k screen should up convert HD quite well, 4x HD though SD is noticeable as SD. The way of the world.
Sources for 4k.
Streaming and disk and some satellite. Nothing is transmitted in the UK over the standard TV aerial (last I checked). Streaming services differ in quality. Disk is about tops. There is one streaming service doing nigh on disk quality but it costs.
We are 6-7 ft away. Not sure it worth a worry anymore as there are no HD panels around past a few budget ones? Aint got a choice.
Mine is coming up on 5 years old and OK. There are others that have had issues. I suppose it is a roll of the dice? I don't spend a lot of time on channels with logo's though a season of rugby then a full weekend or several of Champions and Challenge rugby on BT sport, the Fri through Sun weekends, no issues showing. Always let the TV do its compensation cycle.
Edit. Last I checked, LG make all the OLED panels for all the other makers, and all the OLED panels are equal, the only difference is what is bolted around them. Top of the shop LG has the same OLED panel and the bottom end OLED, I think that is still the case.

I believe that is the case with OLED panels, the difference is the manufacturers picture processing chipsets, the higher up the range the better processing/motion etc is - LG, Sony, Panasonic and Philips all do OLED's and you should be able to pick one up close to budget, apart from maybe a Sony. Just be aware that there's lots of new features being added to the latest models like HDMI eARC etc that will future proof them further, but not all of the latest models have them so definitely check on AVForums before committing. I believe screen burn in is less of an issue compared to earlier models, but I still wouldn't be leaving the likes of Sky news/sports with their tickers running for hours on end. I had a 2016 LG 55" OLED for the past 5 years. Nice tv
I didn't realise it had minor screen burn until a friend was interested in buying it and ran a youtube burn test on it, it was indeed a Sky news banner bottom left burnt into it.
Not covered by any warranty.
Much as I like OLED I wont buy another
