UK 3 pin to IEC C7 Polarised?
Discussion
I've an LG TV / Monitor I've had lying about the place for a while & now want to re-use it. Trouble is that I can't find the original power cable, which may be a problem.
It seem to have a socket for an IEC C7 Polarised (Figure 8 with one side squared off) These seem to be as rare as hens teeth. I could get a US spec & replace the plug, but I don't know if the round or square end is +ve...
Any ideas?
Thanks

Thanks, I think they are the standard non-polarised versions - I've a ton of those lying around

Haven't tried for fear of blowing up the monitor, probably worth a go. Definitely came with a normal 230v 3 pin at the other end...

Ah, a C7P. Apparently you can plug a normal C7 into this type of socket, have you tried?
However, as it was never a standard you might find that it doesn't fit. And are you sure this is for 230V AC input, it wasn't the output from some sort of converter for the TV was it?
