Budget micro hi-fi system?
Discussion
Howdy all.
Needing a budget micro hifi system. And when I say budget i do mean buget (i.e hundred quid all in).
Basically Tom Clarke (former frontman of The Enemy) is releasing a solo album on CD and vinyl only. My laptop has no disk drive, i don't have a blu-ray player and he's not streaming it or anything like that.
I know £100-ish doesn't get you much in-terms of hifi equipment and everyone will be urging me to spend 400 quid on a Yamaha system and cambridge speakers but with covid/being a student/minimum wage job I can't justify (or afford) that type of cash.
Was thinking something along the lines of this > https://www.johnlewis.com/panasonic-sc-pm252-dab-d...
How will that be? worth the money or is there anything else out there? At a later date will i be able to add a record player to it?
Currently I consume my music via Youtube and a 50 quid soundbar in the living room, and spotify with an 8 year old JBL bluetooth speaker on the laptop. Both heavily compressed sources and fairly basic speakers. I think most things out there will be an improvement on that...
Any suggestions welcome.
Edit: Albums not due out until December so could maybe stretch to £150 that extra 50 quid would result in a better system.

Plug in USB DVD/CD/burner/player (cost from about £10 upwards) then 'rip' it into MP3 Flac etc and play it on what you have already got.
This was my thought too, seems a bit nuts to buy a hi-fi for one album or just go on FB Marketplace or eBay and buy a used one?Always fancied a hifi system, especially with DAB+ as i don't have a dab radio. Also got albums in the attic so not strictly just for the one CD.
I love spotify but i'm prone to listening to the same stuff all the time on it.

Secondhand Denon microsystem (UD-Mxx models)
I've got 3 of them, oldest one must be 20 years old now. 2 are used every day, and have never missed a beat.
Early ones are CD/tuner/amp, later ones add USB and Bluetooth.
Thanks. I checked AVForums a few days back but nothing much on their.I've got 3 of them, oldest one must be 20 years old now. 2 are used every day, and have never missed a beat.

Will have a look on ebay later on.
