Hi all, have a tv that’s mounted on a Sanus bracket. There is very little gap underneath but have space above to get a bigger tv in the same spot. However, don’t really want to be faffing about moving the bracket, but how adjustable are they/tv mounts so the bigger tv would be at the same bottom level as the existing TV?

Unfortunately it is purely down to the TV maunfacturer and even the individual product design as to where the mounting points are.

Then it will depend on how deep the arms are, that fit to the back of the bracket and if they have the voids to accomodate them.

Sanus make lots of different brackerts, some of which are adjustable. Which one have you got? Maybe post a photo of it.

Thanks both. This is the bracket I’ve got:

Existing TV is a Panasonic 40 700B, not sure what I’d replace it with as yet but can’t go bigger than 43 in the alcove.

As you can see there's lots of holes & slots in the vertical mounting arms (which are where the bolts pass through to locate in the back of the TV) so I reckon you've got a good chance of being able to mount the new TV a bit higher than the existing one, especially as you're only going up from 40" to 43". I'd only worry if the existingTV is mounted right at the bottom of those vertical members.

So sounds like it’s doable then - thanks for the help!
