Looking at the One gen 2. Is the One SL gen 2 as well - as in is it as new as the One SL gen 2 or is it an old model? Also can the One SL be connected to a spare alexa I have - if so does it have to be hard wired or is there a skill.

I've just taken delivery of two One SLs (listening to them now in fact!) - they are new gen: just a One without the built-in Alexa functionality.

From what I've read you can control them with Alexa, you just need the Sonos skill.

My Sonos are the preferred speakers for the echo’s
Which also use my Spotify for the music..
