A 55" LG OLED is rated at 109W so costs about 1.74p per hour at my tarrif of 16p/kWh. Of course it may not actually pull 109W, but that would be the likely maximum cost.

Really? That sounds a lot - nearly £2 an hour to watch TV? Not disputing if that's the facts but it seems very high.

How do you get to £2 an hour? I quoted the hourly cost.

The manufactures label on the back will tell you the wattage, then grab a calculator.

1.74p per hour is still less than 2p per hour.

You needed to think that through before typing smile

If someone watched 5 hours a day @ £1.74 per hour, it would cost them about £260 a month just for the tele wink

In my defence, I did as I was querying how much it was following my misreading of the reply!

Thanks All. much appreciated! smile So approximately 25/30 pence per day.

Less than I was expecting, so no need to shout at the wife...

The potentially bigger problem is screen burn if she leaves it on all day one channel that has fixed graphics like the News channels. Make her change the channel every hour, no return with two hours.
