Bone conducting headphones
Discussion
I was sucked in by the hype. Bought a set of Aftershokz Aeropex bone conducting headphones on the basis of loads of internet research and reviews. Went for the more expensive ones as they all said there was a good improvement in sound quality. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. There is little to no bass unless I block my ears and they sound awful. Just re packaged them for return and ordered some wireless buds.
Anyone else had any experience of these? Maybe it's just me, so wanted to love them....
Just to add, they would be great for podcasts / audio books etc, just not music.

I have 2 pairs of those that i regularly use when running.
I went in eyes-open knowing that there would be a degree of compromise in the audio quality, however i was pleasantly surprised by how good they were.
Better than my previous in-ear pods, plus with the added bonus of no trailing wires to get caught up (that and the fact the ear-pods kept falling out).
I would guess that it depends on the type of music you are listening too, and (perhaps) the environment you are using them in?
I listen to a wide variety of music (rock, metal, rap, drum/bass, electronica etc) and find the sounds quality to be perfect for what i need it to be.
For me, on a run (either training, or in a UKA sanctioned race event) they fit the bill perfectly, and allow me to listen to music whilst being aware of my surroundings.
As they say, your mileage may vary
