Currently remodelling the lounge and have removed the fireplace to insert AVR and centre speaker beneath the wall-mounted TV *. I wanted the aperture to be 750mm wide in order to fit my existing Kef R600c centre but the builder tells me that would mean knocking down the entire chimney and starting again. My wife tells me that rebuilding the chimney just to fit one speaker is excessive and forbidden! weeping

Does anyone have a Kef R200c or R2c? Is it any big enough to keep pace with some reasonable floorstanders (Kef R700)?

And if anyone has a gloss-black R200c / R2c for sale or would like to swap for a bigger R600c, please let me know!

`* at least one person is going to point out that having a rear-ported speaker in a contained space is not ideal. I know. Not having a big enough lounge or a big enough garage or a Jaguar XJ13 is also not ideal but these are the cards we have been dealt.

Hi ecs0set

I run a 5.1 with R7's upfront and R3's rear and the R2c has no problem keeping up with them. As with all things AVR they just need careful setting up and you'll be fine. beer

I have an R200C. It keeps up with my Reference Model 3.2s absolutely no problem.

I'd be awfully tempted to swap it with your R600C but mine is rosewood and I wouldn't want a black one frown

Thanks all. Have found someone via AVForums who is prepared to do a swap for a gloss black R200c! Happy days!
