Sony 55" A80J v A90J

Morning chaps...short n sweet, but wtf is the difference between the two of them, such that one is damn nr twice the price?

The main difference I know of is that the A90j has the next generation ‘evo’ oled panel (I think it has higher peak brightness). Have a look at HDTVtest on YouTube as I think it’s covered in Vincent’s review on there.

Don’t suppose you know if either of them do Applecasting do you? And no I haven’t a clue what it is not do I want to know, but the wife does. She fks about with Apple stuff.

Airplay2 compatible…is that what she means?

Just got Sony XR55 A80j from Costco special offer (£1199 inc vat and 5 yr warranty) and it’s superb. Still finding out about it but yes it does Airplay….
