Belkin Audio Cable with Lightning Connector
Discussion
I've just acquired one of these cables in order to plug in my iphone to aux output in my 2012 911 (has bluetooth but not streaming etc) which is fine allowing me to run Waze and Spotify simultaneously (Waze map/alerts on the phone screen and Waze alerts/directions/Spotify playing through the Car BOSE) but it doesn't seem to charge the phone which drains quite quickly running these apps.
Does this sound right? Am I faced with occasionally unplugging this cable and using a charging cable for a while, thus losing the Waze and Spotify? This will be a right pain on long journeys!
Have googled it and can't see a definitive answer anywhere nor on the spec sheet of the cable!!

I've used both of these before and it solves your problem:

Essentially one cable for audio and another for power

If you're using an adapter to connect the lightning port on your phone to a 3.5mm aux input, then it physically can't charge your phone. That 3.5mm aux port is effectively 'audio only' - it doesn't have power available.Does this sound right?
