Xbox through AV Amp issue ?

My XBOX Series X when plugged through my Sony STR DN1080 AMP displays a spinning thing on the middle of the screen, if I bypass it via plugging it direct into the TV on HDMI 2, its fine ?

Any ideas what could be causing that ?

I have an xbox series X and the same Sony amp. No problems at all running through the amp. Maybe try an HDMI 2.1 cable. Remember to tell your Xbox that it's connected to your amp and not a TV.

Quick check on the amp suggests it will not decode HDMI 2.1 (What Hifi review - https://www.whathifi.com/sony/str-dn1080/review)

I don't know anything about the Xbox, but possibly turning the video output quality of it down and it should work?
