Technics Bluetooth Turntable + speaker options ?
Discussion
Hi all, I'm looking at getting a turntable and like the look of the newly launched Technics 40CBT
I wasn't going to go bluetooth, but thinking about it, convenience and ability to use with some decent headphones late at night are important to me. Plus as it'll probably be in the main lounge, not having to worry about wiring etc...
However, if I do want to use it minus the headphones i.e. through speakers, are there any decent active bluetooth speakers that would do it justice, that people can recommend. Budget wide up to c .£1000 for the speakers, don't mind floor standing or stand... I like a wide variety of music styles.
Any advice appreciated.

You could get a BlueTooth DAC and use any amp and speakers.
You could get an amp with BT built in, and any speakers.
You could get some kind of 'active BlueTooth speakers.
Does the turntable not have an analogue output? If it did you could just plug it into any suitable amp with a phono input.
£150 for a BT DAC, the rest of your budget gives a wide choice of amps and speakers for people to have opinions on!

£750 for a turntable to use it with BT speakers most of the time. Hell no. Why bother with vinyl in the first place? Just get a streaming system.
Turntables and vinyl have recently been called out amongst over priced hifi gear, although not top of the list.

That list also includes speakers, dacs, and amplifiers, as well as the obvious cables- so that's nearly everything hi fi!https://www.headphonesty.com/2025/09/most-overpric...

Isn't this just a bunch of people whining about things they can't justify or afford? https://www.headphonesty.com/2025/09/most-overpric...
