SKY Q Vs VIRGIN MEDIA
Discussion
Had sky Q for years but price increases drove me to virgin. Very impressive virgin support. Things like free WiFi boosters if rooms have poor signal. Much more stable to picture - no atmospheric interference from poor weather affecting satellite dish. Virgin WiFi is fibre to cabinet (very close to us).
However, the big difference is the extent of cabling - internal and external that virgin needs for tv in multiple rooms. It was a bit like going back to the 1980s to see cables being fixed round the house at dpm level and then up to bedrooms. Mrs Rompy was very apprehensive but installer was great and cabling is discreet.
As for interface etc. we had to get used to one remote in the lounge. Home page and guide all very similar.
