Anyone find this? Things like going to settings to change the sound output to a speaker etc etc

Press a button on the remote, massive delay for it to do what you've pressed. What should be a 5 second task takes 30 seconds.

And this is on a brand new one that I bought this week.....

Not on our 2yr old one.

12yr old one is a bit sluggish accessing apps like YouTube.

I've had Samsungs for the last 10+ years and never had this, although I don't think I've ever had to change the speaker output on any of mine either. Whenever I've had an external speaker set up it automatically defaulted to them.

ETA to suggest there might be something amiss with yours; make sure its on the latest software, otherwise I'd be going back to whoever you bought it from.

Hmmmm, issue is it's both my Samsung TVs......one that I've had in my kitchen for 5 years, and the brand new one in the bedroom

I'll have a look and see if there's software I need to update.....it's not the end of the world, but I do have to switch to bluetooth headphones at night when Mrs UTH complains it's too loud when she's trying to sleep laugh

I have the same issue on my 4 year old Samsung TV. If you have any joy OP then please update the thread, I've just learnt to live with it. Mine isn't 30 secs delay though, more like 4-5.

Yeah mine's a 2-3 secs delay each time you press a button, but it adds up haha

My 2month old Samsung Q7F QLED 4K Ultra HD HDR Smart TV doesn't have any delay with the picture/sound settings.
However it does have an annoying 'feature' of interrupting certain programmes such as Shed & Buried etc with AI commentary in addition to the standard dialogue. "Here's Henry walking into the garage with a dog under his arm" etc. No matter how much I search in settings I can't turn it off.

You’ve probably looked but is there an Accessibility menu somewhere in Settings?

That audio description thing, IME, has been a setting on the service I'm watching (Netflix, Amazon etc) rather than the TV I'm using.....

Thanks for the suggestion about looking in accessibility but there's nothing obvious there to change it. The S&B is on the built in TV guide Quest ch17 but doesn't happen on all their programmes. All updates have also been done. When the TV is on low volume for background noise the AI commentary is about 4 times louder as well!

Just to get UTH's thread back on track, the only delay I've experienced is sometimes on the built in YouTube app between video adverts along with a blank screen for @5 seconds.

One of mine was slow, this has improved it a lot:-

Removed unused apps:-

Home - Apps - Settings - Deleted unused apps

Samsung reduces CPU speed to save energy:-

Settings - General & Privacy - Power and Energy Saving
Turn Off:
Power Saving Mode
Motion Lighting
Brightness Optimization
