Am fed up with our Manhattan T4 and want to buy a BT/EE TV Box Pro (RTIW387) from Ebay.

But my home internet provider is Vodafone not BT/EE....will it still work?...anyone using one that does not have a BT internet service?

Depends what you mean by still work? yes it will function with stuff like recording off freeview and the installed apps etc. What wont work is the EE specific channels and the internet only delivery as they required authentication from your router.

As above, also be aware that it willl only connect to a router using wifi if it's a BT router. For other routers you either need to connect it with a cable or use a third party ethernet to wifi adapter.

We have a couple of them and the UI is decent and snappy in response and I find it good for time shifting freeview stuff(worth getting the 1Gb rather than the 500Mb one too). I also use the Android app to look at the TV guide and to schedule recordings etc.

Wrong, I'm connected to a Three 5G router by WiFi and it works fine.
