Quick question, has anyone bought from www.dabs.com? Wanted to buy a TV from them as it is around 25% cheaper than anywhere else, and I can't seem to find the one we want in any high street retailers around here. Just wanted to know if they were a decent company to deal with or is the lower price a reflection on the customer service.

I spend a lot of money at Dabs and find them excellent. I dont want to be a hoodoo but if there is something thats goes wrong their return process is excellent.

Never had to try to return goods, but I've bought from them without issue.

Bought my 36" Toshiba CRT TV from them years ago because they were very compenative on price, I also use them quite a lot for PC bits for the last 10 years.

I beleive they are now owned by BT, same as BTShop or something like that?

I have heard that their returns can be problematic but that was 3rd hand and may have been during the BT changeover period.

I would say they are at least as good as any other online retailer thumbup

We spend upwards of 50k with them each quarter, nary a problem yet (though they had teething troubles for a few months after being bought out a couple of years ago).

They're good if the item is in stock, but if not then it all gets a bit random.
And if you order several items and one is out of stock then they don't deliver any of it unless you specifically ask them to.

I think it's largish, rather than HUGE - but I suppose that depends on your definition of HUGE.

It is, as mentioned earlier, owned by BT now.

I have always found Dabs to be excellent. They used to specialise in PC parts but seem to sell everything now.

Yes used them quite a few times - although never returned anything.

As with any mail order based company - unfortunately often let down by delivery company.

Bought a screen and projector - both arrived in the depot - however screen was marked next day so they brought this on the saturday - projector not - so I drove and collected it and met the delivery driver back at home...

Said to the guy in the depot - did you not think it might be nice to put projector on van at the same time...???

My advice - YES us dabs - keep an eye on when shipped and call the delivery comany to check smile
