Hi all,
I'm fed up with the sound from my 2.1 pc speakers in my studio.
Looking at getting an ipod dock, amp, speaker combo for improved sound quality with the bonus that visitors will also be able to operate the system. floorstanders are out of the question as i need the floor space clear so it's bookshelfs. I'm going to put the amp and ipod on a new unit in the corner next to the sofa but i've not yet decided what to do with the speakers:
one thing to consider is that i do get complaints from next door (adjoining the wall with the pics on) so i want to avoid directing sound that way.
i was thinking about:
a. putting a pair of bookshelf speakers in the unit in the middle of the back wall.
b. mounting them on the lighting support rail, one at either end.
c. putting one in each corner of the back wall (bit worried about the right hand side being so close to the shard wall-it's only stud)
pic of the space:

I'm open to suggestions on amp/speaker combo's too. got a couple of hundred budget.
Thanks,
Rick.
