I am looking for a 42" tv and noticed the following at Richer Sounds:

http://www.richersounds.com/showproduct.php?cda=sh...

Reduced from £1499 to £599 makes me actually cautious but I can only find good reviews where there are two major critisms - price and 1 HDMI port. The price critism is obvious null and void now, and I am not too fussed about the other as I would have SKY+ only.

Anyone got any thoughts?

Yeah I can see why it hasnt sold,

It's not a TV just a monitor -people just don;t want all the extra wires.

Richer are the masters of buying in good things that people dont want to pay that much for at the right price and selling them at a price people do..

I would be tempted if I was in the market for such a beastie, as for more than on HDMIport - well I only use one on my TV with my 5.1 amp providing HDMI switching capability for my X-box and mediacentre, switching the surround sound and video at the same time.

I do find the freeview tuner useful occasionally

If it works for you - go for it!

Simes.

The depth of the unit is perhaps a slight advantage if its being wall mounted but the other specs are pretty lame. More pixels doesnt always give a better picture! The only source at 1080p is blu ray so will need to decide whether you buy a TV for that and PS3 or watching sd telly. We have the PX10 hooked up to a Blu Ray player in store and it looks superb.
