My ebay headphones have died after nearly a year's use (fairly good for £3!). Sound quality was decent, but i want to get some 'proper' ones this time.

I dont know much about headphones, other than you plug them into the side of your head.

£15 is a small budget, i know, but are there any decent ones for that amount?

They MUST be in-ear ones, if you know what i mean. With the rubber things on the end. My standard iPod ones just kept falling out of my ears which was annoying.

This. I have the 500s (I think!) and they really are superb and very comfortable.

What's the difference between the CX300 and CX300 II?

CX300 II has slightly less overpowering bass, they are ok'ish, but there are much better to be had for the money.

What sound sig are you after, bassy, neutral or detailed?

I want the bass to be good, but I don't want to compromise anything else for it. Just all-round good sound really.

Good bass, as in plenty of it, or good quality where details can be heard?
The bass in CX300 is quite muddy and overpowering, but comes in large quantity.

I havn't heard the CX300's But the CX500s are really good. If you are prepared to play around with the equalizer a little bit then the bass can be controlled, Although the CX500's didnt suffer as badly from the imensity of the bass. Either way, they are good.

Yeah, it's difficult choosing them without hearing first.
