Samsung UE46C7000 3D TV blew me away
Discussion
Had 15 mins to kill yesterday so popped into the local TV Home Cinema Specialist shop, Tunes In.
I've seen the new ilk of Samsung 3D TV's advertised in T3 and other techs mags, so thought I'd take a demo. Previously I've always been disappointed and been guided away from 'Shamsung'.
All I can say is WOW, it blew my socks off. The only recent 3D experience I've had was watching Avatar 3D at the local cinema and thought that was amazing, but 3D in the home, I've always been a skeptic.
The depth of 3D, the clarity of the picture and the overall gorgeousness of the set was mind blowing.
Just saving a few pennies now and plan on upgrading the Kuro 37" to a 46C7000
With the added features of built in Media player, so I can connect my NAS box by Ethernet or USD, Freeview HD (when available in my area) and Internet TV like iPlayer and YouTube, the spec is fantastic.
Anyone got one of these, would love to hear your thoughts and experiences ?

A Panasonic V or VT20 is pretty much a cheaper version of what would have been a Pioneer Kuro 10th generation design...
There is quite simply no finer all rounder/alternative, when you actually immerse yourself.
Avatar would look fantastic if you projected it on the cat so should not be seen as evidencing a processor's overall quality; try theses sets side by side with a standard (or indeed, high) def version of what today looks like mediocre production values, in a film like the original Die Hard.
The FreeView/standard def other service provider, variable transmission discrepancy is even more profound.
The difference will slap you like dropping from top to 3rd in your M5 and mashing the anvil.

The Panny 3D specs are like wearing an anvil on your nose compared to the Samsung ones. Bit of a let down really having heard all the Panny hype on here TBH.

That's Strange, as once again the press have picked up on the specs being uncomfortableso the masses chant it like a mantra! I've worn mine for a complete footy match on Sky
and had absolutely no problems at all, infact Mrs Gandalf also is a fussy so and so
and she has no probs either.
Other than that the media seem to think the VT20s are the Best at the moment

I can picture the scene; blue and pink matching Fila with liberal splatterings of "cum 'ed, soft lad!"
If it gets any better, I'd love to know how.
I'll Have you know that Mrs Gandalf is a born and bred Ashton Lass!!If it gets any better, I'd love to know how.

And it's a white Fila Trakkie BTW

I speak from personal experience, I had not read any press reports. I went into Currys, asked them to demo the 3D tv's they had in stock. All they had were Panasonic and Samsung. I tried both and my above answer was my own findings. Maybe you have a larger than average bell on the back of your Noddy hat that helps counter balance the specs.
