Which iPod Dock?
Discussion
Looking for some learned advice....
My #1 son (15yo) would like an iPod docking station as one of his Christmas presents. Clearly there are thousands of these things out there, and not being into iAnything myself, I'm a little clueless. hence I thought I would pose the question to those 'in the know'.
We're looking to spend £100 or so, does anyone have any advice on what the best value option may be?
Thanks in advance....

You need to know what he's going to use it for.
Is it just to recharge and sync with his computer?
Or,
Will it be to make it part of a hifi set-up?
Or,
Will it need it's own speakers as part of the unit?
Or,
will he be wanting to watch video on another device played from the iPod?
Or,
a combination of the above?!?

Erm, it's to stick his iPod thing in so that music comes out of speakers, in his bedroom. Not sure about all that other stuff. He has an iTouch, an iPad and an iPod if that helps???. I'm sure this is only for his iPod. I'm sure he wants it play luurve rythms to impress his lady friends...
The speakers are already there right?
If so you just need something like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logic3-WIP040-Prodock-iPho...
And an 'aux in' on the hifi.

I have a Klipsch iGroove HG (that last bit is the important bit) and it is absolutely stonking, the bass is more controlled than the Bose sound dock which I found really boomy, although there isnt quite as much bass overall.
I think it was £120 about this time last year so suspect you can get them for £100 now.
