What home cinema set up?

Hello all, am looking to get a surround sound system soon and am after peoples recommendations. It will be used with an Xbox 360(HDMI), PS3 (HDMI) and V+ box (again HDMI). Now wireless rear speakers would be good (as easier to mount etc) but not essential. Oh, do not want to pay a huge amount either, say under £500.

So what do people recommend?

Any single box kit will suit your needs as all you're after is the effect of surround sound rather than absolute sonic quality. Most of the main brands (LG, Samsung, etc) do half-decent systems for not a lot of money.

Personally, I'd spend no more than £250 on a system and the rest on games.

You are aware that wireless rear speakers aren't actually wireless? They still need to be plugged into the wall.

How manufacturers are allowed to get away with advertising wireless speakers amazes me.

Funnily enough I was just about to recommend the Inkyo 3305 or 5305! I have the 5305 and it is simply incredible!

Just bought a 2nd hand denon 1910 amp and jamo 102 speaker set for £340

Sounds fantastic

The jamo surrounds sit on a speaker stand and the cable runs up the middle, very unobtrusive

Also ran the cables thru' some cheap trunking

If you're paying out make sure you get an active sub, far, far better
