Time has come to replace my ageing AE 109 floorstanders, also have a 1year old so i'm thinking of moving to wall mounted speaker system, needs to be decent with AV and music but also looks good, budget is c. £1-2,500, currently looking at Anthony Gallo.....Any recommendations

Try looking at the AudioPro range, I've got Blue Diamonds and they're stunning speakers

Aren't the Blue Diamonds floorstanding speakers that the OP is trying to move away from? I used to own a set of AE109s including using an extra one on it's side as a centre speaker! I tried on and off for about a year with home demos of lots of 'lifestyle' type speakers of the time such as B&W M1 and KEF egg type things. In the end I had to bite the bullet and I bought some PMC DB1+ speakers and the PMC wall brackets for them. They weren't as compact and 'pretty' as some of the demo speakers I tried, but when I brought them home for a demo (against a credit card deposit) I could hear that they were worth the extra above what I thought I'd be able to get away with. It's only quite recently that I've upgraded to the slightly larger TB2+ models, even then it was only a £50 cost once I'd sold on the DB1+ as the TB2+ were secondhand.

Yes trying to move away from floorstanders/stand mounted speakers, i'm worried my daughter will pull them over, just want the best sounding/aesthetically pleasing speakers really that I can wall mount, hence the Anthony Gallo's

I had stand mounted Neat Petites blu tacked to mass loaded stands for the whole of my daughters early years. She was told not to go near them and there have not been any problems. The stands weigh around 20kg so not sure she could have knocked them over even if she tried.

I wouldn't let it be a concern, just mass load and make sure the speakers are solidly blu tacked down.

they are heavy old things and on spikes but she climbs on them and i don't want to take the risk of them falling on her, apart from that they're now about 16 years old
