Replacement SKY+ box question...

My sky box is starting to give up the ghost after 5 years. I've seen replacement boxes on ebay for about £40. Would it just be a case of plugging the new one in, or would I need to ring sky, reprogramme anything etc? Cheers for any help...

Just ring Sky and threaten to leave. At worst you'll get a new box for £60 installed, at best it will be free.

You would need to phone sky to get you card paired with the new box.

Had same problem just last week, phone cancellation department and they'll send out an engineer for free who will most likely swap the box for you.
