Used to sell a UK manufactured product like this a few years ago. Massive downside is high ambient light that kills the image. If you're after the brightest solution, you would be better off hanging a 55" LED backlit LCD, all depending on the image size you're after.
Also easier to put USB or SD card images straight in, not to mention the longevity of the panel as opposed to 2000 hr bulb life of the average projector.

last couple of years has seen some amazing progress in light transmission- windsor displays had a product 6 months ago that you could use in direct sunlight and the backlit picture was as bright and clear as at night! seriously impressive and i have no idea how it works.Gassing Station | Home Cinema & Hi-Fi | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
