You'll need a sky type dish to watch the Freesat section of the TV. If you have a normal aerial, you can still watch the Freeview/ terrestrial part of the TV.

An aerial will not pick up Freesat.

Why do you need washing powder for a TV? You will need a SKY dish if you want to use the freesat part or an aerial if you want to use the freeview part.

Would a Freesat TV also have freeview built in?

The new Panasonics which I believe are the only TVs with Freesat built in, also have a Freeview tuner built in too.

I am getting a TV with Freesat and already have a dish, will it pick up the signal automatically or will i need a professional to come and align the dish??

I'd have thought any tv with freesat built in would have freeview as well?
I have an LG 7700 with both with the coaxial out from Sky+ downstairs into the LG, giving me the channels I dont get from Freesat.

Some freesat tv's can also play iPlayer though check it out first..

Freesat will work off a SKY dish without problem, both Panasonic and LG TV's have freeview as well as Freesat, the Panasonic has Freeview HD not too sure about the LG.

If the dish was previously used for Sky then it will already aligned correctly.
