wiring help needed

Just set up my TV on wall.Cant seem to use TV with sky on there own,have to have amp on.I have the sky hd to amp and blueray to amp,then HDMI out to TV.What have i done wrong.

If you wanna use sky without the amp then the HDMI has to go to the TV and not the AMP, to get the sound through the amp then connect up an optical cable too.

Because you've put the signal into the amp, the amp has to be on to upscale/ process the signal through to the TV.
