Evening all.

I've currently got an S5 which I love to bits. It's transformed the way I listen to music. At the moment, my broadband speed is about 12Meg, but next year I'm moving out of London and think the max speeds I'll be able to get will be 2Meg. frown

All I want to know is, will I be able to stream music through Napster etc at this speed without it stuttering etc?

And can I use the tracks stored on my laptop's hard drive as normal - ie does the broadband speed actually make any difference?

Thanks in advance.

PS Searched google but couldnt really find any answers.

Should be fine, audio doesn't take up much bandwidth.

For example -

What bandwidth does Spotify need?
We recommend 256 kbit/s. Spotify usually works well on a 3G connection. Plenty of free disk space also helps keep the network requirements down as it enables more caching.

Your broadband speed won't have any effect on the link between your laptop and the sonos, they communicate over your internal network, nothing at all to do with your broadband link.

I have Sonos and up until last week I had 2mb broadband and Napster worked fine (except very occasionally at peak times it would drop out)

The way forward is bonded broadband!
