Anyone run iTunes, NAS & Sonos

Just trying to get my head round this so if you have this set up i'd be keen to hear how you get on.

In a bid to keep it wife friendly I am using only one PC to buy itunes music...her laptop. 99% of music will be listened to via the sonos....itunes will only be on the lappy for buying songs and syncing iphones.

So - do i keep the music on the lappy and just back up now and then to the NAS or do i point itunes to the NAS drive in the firstplace and just back up FROM the NAS to a backup folder on the lappy for saftey.

Otherwise when she buys a track it wont show on the NAS till I do a back up....so does that make sense/create any issues?

Basically....one master music folder and itunes (via lappy) and Sonos both using the same one?

I have a similar setup. My music is all on my nas and I configured iTunes on my laptop to use a music store on the nas. Backup is done via another external hdd which i keep in a locker at work.

iTunes works surprisingly well in this way, I was most surprised!

Downside is if you take the laptop out with you, none of the music is accessible, but then I have an iPod for that.
