Damaged Panasonic plasma screen

Had an incident that left a small gouge , but a 8" long scratch on the screen ,

The model is TH 46 PZ 80B , can the screen be easily repalced or is it an insurance claim ,

if so would they repair or replace ?

Its an insurance job, its the outer glass you will need replacing, its not as expensive as replacing the PDP but its not a 5 min job.

If I was offered the choice I would actually reduce that screen to a 42" unit
