I'm in the process of wiring a house for whole house AV and have ordered the Cat6 to go in. I've also been advised to run some coax at the same time as a back up. Would it be the WF100 cable that has SKY + HD along with a normal aerial cable included so that I have the option of watching normal TV as well as installing a sky box locally?

Thanks in advance

Andy

Use the WF100 (CT100) for both the Sat and Aerial. Don't forget you will need two Sat feeds for Sky +.

2 for sky, 1 for terrestrial aerial - 3 co-ax runs in total.

I'll be running 4 Cat6 to each room and installing a matrix in the media cupboard so purely running the coax as a back up reserve.

Thanks for the help

Hi herbs.

If you are running a centralised model with the matrix then I would run 5 or 6 wf100 runs from your external point or at least the loft to the main hub.

Then from the hub to each screen position 1 coax at least but I would prefer to run two.

Lots of cheap and very effective adaptive / converters that will do lots of different things over coax if you need it. Even hdmi over single coax is available now.
