Yelow Tint to the Edges of Sony TV Picture

Hi all.

Just bought a second hand Sony TV from a friend. Not sure on the make/model. It's 42". I only paid £50 because the previous owner is emmigrating. However, it has faded yellow tints to the sides of the picture, most noticably on the left. It is there no matter what is on the screen Playstation/DVD player/TV etc.

Does anyone know what the problem is, and if it's something that's fixable or something just to ignore? It's only a second TV for playing games and stuff on in the bedroom so not too bothered either way given the price, but it's nice to know.

Sounds like a faulty screen to me, if its just for playing games then id ignore it if i were you.
