Looking at getting a new tv and even though I don't really need 46 inch the child inside says GO BIG. I'm not that clues up on the current crop of sets but understand that panasonic are very good for the money. Anyway found a good deal on this one and wondered what people thought ????

Great set, but depending on just how good the deal is, most people here would/ will probably say stretch to the G series if you can! smile

Well rrp is £999 but found a deal for £799 with 12 months interest free and a wall mount included so sounds good. Was only looking to spend £500-600 max but with the intrest free seems silly not too ?????

I wouldn't want to sway your decision other than give a couple of pointers (that might even help you get a better deal on the set) like I say, it's not going to be a TV that disappoints!

- The RRP of 999 was 'last years' price - the new range is expected soon (those that know the exact date won't be allowed to say when!) so discounts are to be expected - and more and more of them unless all the excess stock is sold!
- I'm not up to speed with current prices, but Amazon (just as a guide) appear to be doing said set for £699 - I'm not sure 12 months credit & a potentially non-OEM wall mounting are worth the extra?

I paid £810 for the 50" S20 about 4 months ago, including 5 years guarantee from John Lewis. I would expect you to find the 46" for a lot less than that at the moment. Great telly though.
