On Escape to the Country on BBC1 on Sunday, a featured home had a music room with a rather large hi fi installation.

Can anyone pick out the various bits of kit?

Aesthetics are subjective, and personal. Sure they're not your conventional floorstander, but at the high end, what's conventional?
Anything goes, in order to get the best sound possible.

Properly setup, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to make it sound good in there - we used to make kits sound good in HUGE wooden paneled conference rooms at the Heathrow Park Inn
