Back in the mid/late 80's ,this green pen came out that was applied to the inner and outer edges of the disc claiming to improve the sound quality..Most of my collection is still wearing this dam stuff ... It never made a blind bit of difference !!.... LOL..Anybody else here still with green edged discs??

Shh...
A lot of people still believe it...

Of course, a mere peasant like yourself wouldn't be able to afford a HiFi good enough to show the difference!

Oh dear, shall we now describe our experiences with using various techniques?
I'll admit to using ReVeel and hearing a difference.

What about the Peter Belt Electret foils, you cut up little triangles of this stuff
and stuck it to the plugs.

There was also an article in a very high brow American Hi-Fi mag that reckoned that
Hi-Fi sounded better when there was no one in the listening room!!!!

Jimbeaux might kill me for this but, maybe, a slimmer profile helps when appreciating those waves.
Don't want them bouncing back to the source, then coming back, etc.

I seem to remember this being put on discs that would go into (early) car multi cd changers (to stop chipping/dust coming from the edges ??)

Talking about 1990/1991

There was a couple selling holographic stickers to put on CDs, they were so confident of the audio enhancing capabilities they gave away free samples.

And who said the world of hi-fi was infiltrated by snake-oil sellers trying to sell us very expensive and ultimately pointless cables
