What type of speaker connectors are these?

Looks like there may be something missing. Something either to clamp the cable across the two flats, or some other method of holding the cable.

I have similar connectors on the back of some speakers. Mine have a plastic part that screws in to hold the cable in. Sorry working away from home so cannot provide a picture.

They look like normal binding posts

Unscrew put cable in the gap then tighten.
