Weird BBC HD sound problem. Anyone else get this?
Discussion
I have a Humax Freeview HD box feeding sound into a Yamaha 7.1 amp. Weirdly, on BBC HD, the sound on the continuity announcements only comes out on the sub-woofer and rear speakers.
It's only on BBC HD, and it's only the continuity announcements. Every other channel works fine, and everything except the continuity works fine on BBC HD.

Anyone else get this? It doesn't bother me in the slightest, seeing as it's only the continuity bits, but it's just weird!

I have the Humax Fox-T2 Freeview HD box and run it through my Arcam AV9 and power amps. I sometimes notice that the BBC HD annoucements are loud and seem to use the front left and right speakers rather than the centre, but I don't think I get only the rears working on mine (4 surrounds so a 7.1 setup, I think it would be obvious on my setup if it was just the rears). I'll try to pay attention next time to confirm. FWIW I'm using the optical output and my AV9 is set to Dolby Digital plus IIx for the rear surrounds. Using the latest firmware on mine (the one that enabled the portal).
