I'm looking for a Blu-Ray Home Cinema system with iPod intergration. I have a Sony T.V so I'd prefer if the Home Cinema system was Sony too (not sure what they're like with iPod intergration ?).

I can use my T.V as a picture frame so I'd like to be able to pop my iPod Touch into the system in question and control it via the remote with some 'chillout' photos on the T.V. I'm assuming they charge the iPod / keep the backlight on ?

Any recommendations or similar setups ?

i have a sony blu ray home cinema for my bravia tv and its brilliant. it has a usb port in the front which allows you to connect an ipod/iphone which it does charge it too. it has a setting on the remote for ipod so you can control it from the remote.

That sounds good, I forgot to mention my budget is around £400 and I'm not a huge fan of just connecting the iPod via USB (sorry to be fussy)

Just my opinion, nut if you have an iPod touch, what possible advantage does docking it to the TV offer over an Apple TV?

Plug the Apple TV into any TV/amp, so not restricting uyourself to buying something with a dock, and you can stream everything from the ipod direct to the TV, with the advantage of keeping the iPod to hand to navigate tracks etc (or teach the ATV to respond to your own remote, or use the remote app on the iPod) Plus, you get the added benefit of movie rentals.

Thank you, that looks perfect ! Why don't they make that with a dedicated port frown
