Hi folks

It looks like Mick will be rolling out the red carpet for us to welcome us to the Windmill with a BBQ he's especially put on and full reserved parking which is exceptionally kind of him!! biggrin

So, please if possible can people make an effort to come this month (and on time) - just so that we can put on a good impression. This would be a good venue to get if we can and we can test out the parking at the same time.

Note - We will be going to the event at Croydon later on so if you want to join us you are also welcome but please note this piece of information additional info from Olly which was not on my original map.

"Following the route guide, the penultimate instruction - Larkins Rd - contains a nasty, unmarked, double dip in the road surface. Just as the road opens up, some might feel the urge to 'make swift progress' here. I warn against it as I've been caught out myself here, and talking to Nicky it seems others have also had interesting experiences! Plus, it would be embarassing to 'stuff it' so close to the venue!!"

So, take care of the local warning

Hopefully see people on Sunday for a great day out - either at the pub or Croydon!! bounce

Well, although the weather is a bit ropey today, the forecast says tomorrow should be sunny and dry for the most part, so fingers crossed we get a good day!

Hi folks

Good turnout today! Thanks very much for coming and letting us try out the parking etc at the new venue. Although it was a little tight we did manage to get everyone in without two much hassle and the free food from Mick was much appreciated all round I think wink

So, as commented on earlier, we will be using this venue next month as well and then take opinions as to what people think. I spoke with Mick today about the parking and he mentioned he has bought another pub - the Brockett Arms @ Shaws Corner (http://www.brocketarms.com/about.html) - which we would also be welcome to try out. The parking there is bigger - although I believe it is currently having some work done to it which means it won't be ready for a month or so. As such, we have a few options to try.

Anyway, thanks to Hiran (plus myself) here are a few pics from today's meet and the show at Croydon afterwards.

See ya all next month!

...and some more...

Looks like agood meet, sorry but doing Father's Day duties in Kent so couldn't make it.

one comment on Brocket Arms ....... it's located at Shaw's Corner which is National Trust and it gets very very very busy in the summer, with hardly room to park one car let alone a car club.

Thanks for the info, Steve.

But if the pub is basically private land, surely the car park is private to the pub as well. I suppose it depends on how big the car park is and what other parking is on the road or nearby...

I'll have to pop over their and look sometime and get an idea of what it is like I guess biggrin
