You can grab one of the preprepared routes I have in our yahoo group.

Just look under the files->run in subdirectory.

I have about 15 routes in there you could take and mod. The one I would suggest is number 1.
The rest are very specific.

Keith - all you really need to do is plug a starting point into googlemaps and then chose the windmill as your destination.
You could start in Melbourne outside of royston and make your way over to buntingford and go to cottered, hitchin and a1 from there.

I'll look at putting together more preprepared routes next year, but to be honest, not sure what type of routes people like. I know some very nice ones around the back of Melbourne and Brent Pelham, but those are more fit for leisurely drives.

Also, could someone take some pics on Saturday (hm open day) and Sunday (our meet)?
I'd like to put them on our gallery smile

Thanks!

Tamster.

Hi Keith, how about a 10am departure from Hertford, might turn into a mystery tour - all part of the fun, will follow your S rocket smile

But seriously, one of the things I wanted to try and get going again next year was a monthly run-in, but either we need
  • a static route - which is a bit boring after a bit
  • a set of routes we rotate - which is probably better
  • or someone who is willing to plan one each month.
I'm happy for either options. I think the best approach might be to get a set of routes suggested and then we can rotate them every month or so. When we have busy months, I just don't have the time to do a customised route each month biggrin

Thoughts?

hehe see Alex, you couldn't resist lol....... what we did previoulsy was rotate people to organise the runin each month, so it didn't fall to the same person each time and lead to varied routes through different areas of the region
