Hi folks

As with the rally off-roading idea back in January, here is another idea I'm throwing out for a possible event if
enough people are interested.

When we did the Jaguar factory tour in August last year, it was also suggested that we might like to do the
Jaguar heritage centre at the same time. Due to one thing or another however, we didn't and said we might do it at another date.

However, it has come to my attention that the Jaguar Heritage Centre will be closing down in September this year and it is uncertain if it will be re-opened anytime soon after that, so here is my proposal for possible event number 2...

A day trip out to the Jaguar Heritage Centre - 24th June 2012.

Details of the museum can be found here - http://www.jaguarheritage.org/Museum.aspx

Jaguar Heritage Museum
Browns Lane
Allesley
Coventry
CV5 9DR

I would propose that we go on a Sunday - the last of any given month as that is the only time the museum is open
at the weekend.

Remember, once the museum has closed, it has closed, so this year is the only chance we will have to do it.

So, if you are interested in this possible event, let me know and I will make a booking. I will set the threshold for
this event to be 10 people or more to make it worth doing smile

As far as dates, I would try to make it either May (preferable) or June. After these dates, the calendar gets rather full.

Thanks!

Alex

Hi folks

I've now booked this for the 24th of June for 18 people starting at about 1230, so I have a few more
places if people want.

I have also booked a guided tour for us all at the cost of £60 which I suggest we split between us all
at the cost of £4-5 each as entry into the museum is I believe free.

Hope that's okay. If no one wants to do the tour, let me know asap and I will cancel it.

Thanks!

Ok, looks like this is another one of those popular ones with more people wanting to go than originally communicated.

So, if you want to come on this event as well please let me know and I will try and increase the booking I made today for the initial numbers I had.

If you want to come, please let me know or add your name to this list by EOB 1st of March, 2012.

Thanks!

Anyone else for this event?

I'm going to revise our booking sometime in the next week or so, so please put your name down before then.

So far I will be looking to increase it by 5 people.

Thanks!

Great day out today! The weather was a little bit dodgy on the way in, but by the time we got to the Heritage Centre it was hot and sunny.

The tour we had lasted for about 70-80 minutes and covered virtually the entire history of Jaguar. The guide was extremely knowledgable and
we were able to look at cars from most of the significant points in Jaguar's history. Its such a shame the centre will be closing in September.

If you have not yet been and like cars, then I would strongly suggest you go for a visit as it closes in September and will not open again for a
number of years - if then.

Anyway, I'm glad everyone who went enjoyed the day and here are a few pics from the afternoon.

Thanks!

Alex
