BNG 2012 8/9th September 2012
2 day event based at Sherburn Aero Club (near Leeds and the A1) including the use of a 2 mile long runway
Saturday will be “wheels rolling day”
TVRCC exclusive use of a 2 mile long test track/runway all day in pre booked time slots (£20 per 1/2 hour slot to try your cars top speed - legally and safely) Accurately measured speed display on the day
Several organised runs out around the lovely local roads with the chance to stop for a Yorkshire country pub lunch.
Use of Clubhouse with bar and café open all day and TVR BBQ
Large area for TVRs with easy viewing of aircraft all around.
Trial flights in aircraft and helicopters as well as in a Tiger Moth Bi-plane are planned

On the Saturday night a party is planned and choice to either camp or use local hotels (at discounted rates) with coach transfers available

Sunday will be the “static day” and main gathering
Elements such as concourse, loudest car, furthest travelled etc with the awards to be presented
All cars together on a TVR area in sight of all aircraft movements for picnics bbq etc

The idea is to keep it cheap enough for everyone to afford (and the chance to stay for both days with camping)
or for those looking for a more luxurious weekend, there are several local hotels with swimming pools etc.
Coach transfers for those wishing to drink

We hope you will be able to join us and enjoy the Yorkshire hospitality

Richard “Trickie Dickie” Lee
Regional Organiser West Yorkshire TVRCC

More details to follow as they are announced

As the Event is a TVRCC National Event then the test track
and the saturday runs out will be restricted to TVR members only, I'm afraid

Cheers

Be good to see you there Richard.
First thing tomorrow morning the gearbox is coming out and i aint stopping till its all up and running again.
Then to beg some local tyre place to fit my new RSRs on Saturday morning.
It wouldnt be right if there wasnt a last minute crisis or 2 would it smile

Do you think we should restrict him just to the taxiway, Mark? Ha Ha

Personally, if I were the organiser, I'd restrict him to coming without his car. Health & Safety an' all that. You don't want tanks of NOS around an airfield, and hangars, and fuel dumps and..... campers!!!! Nothing to do with the fact that he'd make a mockery of the timings of course whistle

As Main Organiser I look forward to welcoming you on the day Derek

Funnily enough I normally remove the passenger seat when i go racing to fit all the gear in the car.
I will try and fit it all in.
Or we could borrow a seat from another Chim or Griff... its only 4 bolts! Takes 10 minutes
