Discussion
BNG 2012 8/9th September 2012
2 day event based at Sherburn Aero Club (near Leeds and the A1) including the use of a 2 mile long runway
Saturday will be “wheels rolling day”
TVRCC exclusive use of a 2 mile long test track/runway all day in pre booked time slots (£20 per 1/2 hour slot to try your cars top speed - legally and safely) Accurately measured speed display on the day
Several organised runs out around the lovely local roads with the chance to stop for a Yorkshire country pub lunch.
Use of Clubhouse with bar and café open all day and TVR BBQ
Large area for TVRs with easy viewing of aircraft all around.
Trial flights in aircraft and helicopters as well as in a Tiger Moth Bi-plane are planned
On the Saturday night a party is planned and choice to either camp or use local hotels (at discounted rates) with coach transfers available
Sunday will be the “static day” and main gathering
Elements such as concourse, loudest car, furthest travelled etc with the awards to be presented
All cars together on a TVR area in sight of all aircraft movements for picnics bbq etc
The idea is to keep it cheap enough for everyone to afford (and the chance to stay for both days with camping)
or for those looking for a more luxurious weekend, there are several local hotels with swimming pools etc.
Coach transfers for those wishing to drink
We hope you will be able to join us and enjoy the Yorkshire hospitality

Rich, we are banning Derek from using the runway at the BNG though aren't we?
Do you think we should restrict him just to the taxiway, Mark? Ha Ha
