TVRs wanted for road trip!
Discussion
2200 miles ! 5 Countries ! 8 Nights!
Friday: Dover - Dunkirk (stay over in Brussels)
Saturday: Brussles - Salzburg (two convoys merge around Cologne)
Sunday: Salzburg - Spielberg (watch the DTM race at the Red Bull Ring) - Graz
Monday: Graz - Innsbruck*
Tuesday: Innsbruck - Davos*
Wednesday: Davos - Bern* (*these days we take on some of the finest roads in the world)
Thurday: Bern - Freiburg (via the Black Forest)
Friday: Freiburg - Stuttgart (Posche/AMG museums)
Saturday: Stuttgart - Home
The annual Chaps On Tour is now open to all, and they're wanting more TVRs to join. So far there are 2 Lotuses, 3 BMW Z4s, an R32, my Chimaera (driven by Nick and his mate, gulp!), and 2 MX-5s. It's been running for the last 3 years, and each year has proven to be excellent fun. However, the group have decided that more TVRs would be cool (in anything is welcome, but TVRs especially so), so to whet your appetite, here are some videos of the last couple of years antics!

Also, this trip is completely non-profit. The entire thing is paid for off your own back, there's no central company organising it, it's just a bunch of petrolheads enjoying their cars, and it all gets turned into a DVD at the end!
Any interested parties please request to join this group, and you'll get a full list of hotels and the routes etc from Tom:

Hello, the trip runs from the 1st to the 9th June.
As for being too old, the average age of the people on this trip is late 20s if not early 30s. Nick and his mate Liam are the two youngest at 23.
Pascal Buyens has just confirmed he's coming, so that's ten cars confirmed.

And do you have a rough idea of costs? Presumably all the people currently going know each other?
The cost is around 600 for hotels, and 600-700 for fuel, dependant on the car. Spending money is whatever you feel necessary. Shared between two, it's a reasonably cheap, relaxed, fun holiday. Most of the people know each other, but some are bringing friends who've never met the others before. Everyone's friendly and as long as you like cars and amazing roads, you'll fit right in!7 TVR said:
Looks like you boys have alot of fun!
One thing puzzles me? When the lads and i go on a road trip, especially the sort titled chaps on tour, there tends not to be any non chaps!
Maybe you should re-name it the couples on tour
Indeed, it seems to have grown into something a bit more than what it was originally! One thing puzzles me? When the lads and i go on a road trip, especially the sort titled chaps on tour, there tends not to be any non chaps!
