Car show @ Shiplake Fete - 16th June
Discussion
Hi TVR enthusiasts,
I'm helping my friend Martin with the car show at Shiplake Village Fete, which he took on the organisation of last year. Last year he got 30 cars down - not bad for a first attempt, but we're trying to make it bigger and better this year!
As well as 'classic' cars, we're looking for performance/sports/racing cars, and that's where you come in.
It would be great to get some nice V8 grunt along, so if you're free and fancy a fun afternoon out then bring down the TVR and you can get in for free. There's a dog show, BBQ, bar, stalls, etc. so it's a nice family Saturday outing.
The date is Saturday 16th June, from mid-day until 15:30 on the Memorial Field in Shiplake (postcode RG9 4DW).
Shiplake is between Reading and Henley, and is a lovely place to drive out to.
If you can make it, please let me know so I can make sure we keep a space for you and so we have an idea of numbers.
So far, we're expecting at least:
10 x 50's cadilacs
7 triumph tr's
A racing sunbeam tiger
An old American flat track racer
2 x old army jeeps with tents and guns to make a display
+ jags, mgb's, classic vw's, vintage cars and numerous odds and sods!
Would be great to see you there. I've uploaded a print-ready flyer at:

Cheers,
Craig

Craig,
Assuming I get my car back from Str8Six tomorrow (or soon after) I'll probably be up for this as I'm only up the road in Marlow. Chameleon Blue TVR Tuscan (complete with a few stone chips but I'll hide those as much as I can!).
Fantastic! Thank you! Assuming I get my car back from Str8Six tomorrow (or soon after) I'll probably be up for this as I'm only up the road in Marlow. Chameleon Blue TVR Tuscan (complete with a few stone chips but I'll hide those as much as I can!).

Once you know for sure, please email me with your name & mobile number (I'll know your email address and car!) to aid us with co-ordination running up to the day.

Hi Craig trying to round up a few TVRs from the Berkshire TVRCC At the moment 1x Chimaera 1x Tuscan hopefully a few more will let you know ASAP Graham.
Hi Graham,
Any news on these?
The show is still on, but may be a bit thinner in terms of car/people numbers if the weather is against us...
If you're able to send me a contact number for the car owners, plus their names, I can make sure we can contact them in case it needs to be cancelled.
Thanks,
Craig
I will come over if weather ok I have a 911 cab and a classic Vw camper , will probably be camper though, more room for kids !

Excellent! Show is on no matter what the weather so if you're hardcore then come over regardless.
I'm bringing my new Chimaera.
Owners/show'ers should arrive at 11.30 if they want to miss the queues - but if you're coming with family then just tell the people on the gate that you're showing in the car show and they'll point you in the right direction.
I believe the car exhibitors will have their own entrance, but this may be just for those arriving before 12pm...
