ASDA Event 10th of August 2013?
Discussion
Spoke to a friend who works at Magna Park Asda Depot. He said that as far as he knew TVR CC had been invited to attend and run track sessions for charity. He will check this out and let me know towards the end of the week.
Surely if this had happened somebody from the regional TVR CC would know about it, and will hopefully be along soon to comment....

We spoke to Northants some weeks ago as it was anticipated this year may be similar to previous ones but there has been a change of RO. I have sent messages about offers from individuals to help via the TVR CC site but have not had any reply at all. The RO last logged in on 9 June so may simply be on holiday of course
TVRCC attendance has definitely been discussed but I think your right about Kelly (RO) being away. The Northants TVRCC facebook page is definitely the best way to get in touch with her though. I'm intending to turn up for a blast for a good cause (due a front end respray this winter anyhow !)
Hi all,
I can confirm that TVR Car Club Northants have been invited and will be attending. I have received further details today and the vehicle passes. Please contact me directly if you would like further information and would like to be involved.

This was one of my first official TVR CC events having recently joined the club following the purchase of my S3 at the end of May.
It was an absolutely fabulous day, and the TVR club raised a good chunk of cash for charity. A brilliant bunch of TVR owners, who made me feel very welcome, even though my little S was one of the slowest cars on the back straight managing only 125mph. It was great fun through the corners, with the back end moving around a lot and under control by the end of the day. Thanks to Richard in the Tuscan, and Tim with the T350 (hopefully remembered the name) who gave up their time to show me the track. I only spun the once, on my second lap (combination of cold tyres and too much speed through the chicane).
I ended up with two stone chips of any note - far less than people had suggested might be the case. One small one of the windscreen and one next to the fog light on the bottom edge of the car. There were a few small marks on the paint that all vanished with the application of a coloured polish, and I could have picked those up on the road.
My car did decide to chuck some water out of the expansion tank overflow pipe at the end of the day. I left the car running after my last lap, and it got a bit too hot. I thought it was just a small amount as it has done that before once or twice and vented off only a small amount of water. I realised about two miles down the road on the way home it must have been a bit more than I first thought as the temperature went up and did not go back down. Sorry to those that tried to wave me down as I left, but I obviously had not seen how much water was left under the car. A quick top up after I parked up and let it cool down a bit, and the car ran fine and cool all the way home.

Good post and good to see you
You and your car added a lot to the efforts organised by the Northants crew. It is an awesome day, sometimes people forget the purpose which is about raising money to support others. I understand our gate raised over £1700 (bear in mind there were 10 gates and many other attractions so the total will be vast).
I've done this a few times and also managed to spin. Twice. Well, a marshal did ask me to frighthen one of them.. ;-)
Thanks to Kelly for organising, Sarah was marshaling all day and everyone who did anything, your efforts made it a very good day

Great to meet you too, and thanks for the lap, showed me how well planted my car is in comparison!!
Can only re-iterate how well the gate was run by the three ladies, and what a good event it is. It also shows how generous TVR owners are, with several other cars on various other gates as well.

May well have been my mate Tim who showed you round, but it was my car he was driving!!! I think I'll blame him for the abundance of stone chips, but my spin was down to a Merc deisel driving round the inside of the track very slowly. In my haste to get passed him, I got to the chicane on the wrong line and much too fast and ended up in a cloud of tyre smoke on the grass. The passenger enjoyed it!!Can only re-iterate how well the gate was run by the three ladies, and what a good event it is.
