Guys, fancy an Autumn T/D?

http://www.trackdays.co.uk/book/cartrackday/7002/

A great track, the full 300 circuit, safe as houses with huge run offs.

There are plenty of spaces available at the mo so book up, the more the merrier and it's a Saturday.

So far.

I will be up for this if I get some certainty on the fueling of the car before then.

Wanna go to Surrey RR on Saturday Graham?

You'll get a fueling graph.

Sounds like a plan Pete. Late morning would be good for me I think. I have one of those gauges on the side waiting for the new manifold but if it's fueling ok happy to track it with out all the planned changes

Thanks for the heads up Peter,
I'll keep my eye on this but will have to make a late decision, my daughter is moving house the week before so I may be short of time and wallet.
I'd like to get there if poss, especially as it looks like most of the Chim groovy gang are going.
In case you had missed it MSV have Snett 300 the following Saturday for £20 less.

That's all very well, but Peter has arranged perfect weather for our weekend, so it will doubtless be raining the following one..... jester

Chilli, I seem to remember you had a noise test at Snetterton a few weeks back, and I have a feeling you came out at 107dB - is that correct? You will need track cans if I am right, as it is a 105dB limit. I might be able to lend you mine, as Snet's noise meter read high the last time I was there and i was able to run without, but I cannot guarantee it. I think Peter has a spare set?

I guess you've already parted with the cash then. 20 squids doesn't make too much difference in the overall scheme of things when you consider all the other costs.

I am not a regular track day person but club MSV at Sneterton had the best marshalling of the three circuits I have been to. Not sure if that was because it was a novice day or not but it was noticeable.

As it is an MSV circuit, I am pretty sure the marshalls will be MSV, just the guys doing the club house will be Javelin staff. They are good too, so no worries there.

Agreed

I did Oulton Park with Javelin this summer and I was a bit bothered it would be rough as most cars were either full blown track cars or race cars( the Civic Cup was on the day after so lots were using it for early practice) however I needn't have worried as the staff were professional and very firm in the briefing about race type behaviour.
As a result almost everybody was patient and courteous which meant the slower people (me) could get up to speed quicker and not feel intimidated which made everyone's day better.

Sorry A, been in the frozen North the last few days, did reply on my iphone but the damn thing wouldn't send (not the first time either). So, 107 was before the full decatt and putting the silencer box back to 'standard'. Last test back in April (ish) was 104.7 (static), but the tester did say I'd need to do a drive by also!!! Would be handy to borrow a set, but no probs buying them!

Ecktually, I'm off to Snetts this morning to one of the race prep outfits (Sorry, hush hush secret project) so I might call in at the circuit and see if I can arrange a drive by next time (before the 16th) they have a test set up there smile

As always, your consideration is muchly appreciated.. smile

Have to say I wasn't aware of any drive by meters at Snetterton, but that may be my lack of knowledge. Your car's spec exhaust-wise is the same as mine if you are fully decatted but silenced, so you will be close to the track static limit. I have driven there without cans and not been pinged on track. However, my suggestion to you is borrow some cans the first time out and then, if you love track days as much as I suspect you will, select which type you want to buy (Peter has both types) and buy them in leisure rather than haste. Standard exhaust is 2.5 inches diameter by the way.
