TVRCC Herts, Beds & Middlesex: First event for 2014?
Discussion
Hi folks
TVRCC Members only
Recently, I was approached by the new events manager at the London Motor Museum with an offer for a special discounted day out at their facilities. The LMM is trying to attract car clubs to come and visit and is doing everything they can to get clubs in - and it is working, they have had a lot of clubs come and visit so far
As the LMM is not too far from me, I went down to meet their events manager, take a tour with him around the museum and discuss possible options for a day out if there is enough interest.
The LMM essentially has two main parts - the museum and a workshop business in the museum that builds cars to specification for movies, actors and anyone else who can afford it.
They have a large display of cars - both modern, film cars, historic and the downright weird.
The museum itself is split into various areas...
The details of the offer are...
The best day for them would be a Sunday to run the event on.
The events manager was keen to be as flexible as possible and for £10 I think it would be a great day out for those who might be interested.
The details on their website are now woefully out of date and not worth looking at now, so I took as many pictures of the collection as I could to show what they have to offer.

I've opened the invitation to other regions and so far we have about 20 people or so
wanting to come, with more interested.
The dates are open at the moment, but we were thinking Feb/March sometime.
If you are interested in coming, can you let me know and I'll add you to the list.
Thanks!

The museum itself is split into various areas...
- Supercars
- Filmcars
- Italian stuff - Ferraris etc.
- 50s and 60s
- Muscle cars (mostly American stuff)
- Low riders
- and the downright weird...
The details of the offer are...
- We have free reign of the museum for £10 entry per person. The usual entry price is much, much more.
- Those going get a free coffee or tea (they have a fully equipped cafe, so can do just about any style of coffee you want)
- We get a guided tour of both the museum and the Supercar workshop
- Dedicated parking (we can even park in the workshops if we want)
The best day for them would be a Sunday to run the event on.
